First off, on behalf of the PMAHA exec, I would like to extend congrats to Ethan Goodnough, Graham Itcush, Aly Mawji and Jackson Smith for making the cut for the upcoming PCAHA 7th Annual Fraser Valley Midget ‘C’ Scholarship Tournament and representing Port Moody as 4 of the 19 players on the FVN Canucks roster.

Secondly, I am informed that the FVN Canucks have two home games in the tournament this year and one is Monday March 6 at 8pm at Coquitlam Main vs FVW Flames and the other is Tuesday March 7th at 7:30pm at Poco Blue vs FVW Stars. Let’s show our support and be there when our boys take the ice next week.

For those not familiar, it is a tournament for 3rd year Midget aged players and one scholarship is available to a player from each team who excels during the event. Four teams compete – one from Fraser Valley North (us!), one from Fraser Valley East and two from Fraser Valley West so the tournament is basically a competition between All-Star teams from each of those zones’ associations. The tournament format is single game round robin so each team plays three games and then the Gold/Bronze Medal games take place at South Delta Recreation Centre on the afternoon of March 11.
